By accessing or using our website, submitting films, purchasing passes, or participating in festival activities, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
General Information
The NewYork Bangla Film Festival (referred to as “NYBFF,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is a cultural event dedicated to promoting Bangla-language and South Asian cinema. These Terms govern your participation in the festival, your use of our website, and your interaction with all NYBFF platforms and services.
Eligibility
Participants must be at least 18 years of age, or have parental/guardian consent to submit or attend.
By submitting a film, the filmmaker or authorized representative confirms they hold all necessary rights and permissions for screening.
Film Submission Rules
All submissions must be made through the official NYBFF submission portal or our approved partner platforms (e.g., FilmFreeway).
Submission fees, once paid, are non-refundable.
Films must be original works and must not infringe on any copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
NYBFF reserves the right to reject any film without explanation.
Selected films may be used for promotional purposes, including excerpts, stills, or trailers.
Festival Screenings & Schedule
Screening dates, times, and venues are determined solely by NYBFF and may change without prior notice.
NYBFF reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel events due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., technical issues, weather, or public health concerns).
Decisions made by the festival selection committee and jury are final and not subject to appeal.
Ticketing & Passes
All ticket and pass sales are final and non-refundable unless an event is officially canceled.
Lost, stolen, or damaged tickets will not be reissued.
Tickets are non-transferable unless stated otherwise.
Attendees must comply with venue rules and security requirements.
Intellectual Property
All website content, including text, images, videos, and graphics, is the property of NYBFF or its licensors.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any materials without prior written consent from NYBFF.
Filmmakers retain ownership of their work but grant NYBFF the right to exhibit, promote, and archive their films for festival-related purposes.
